# Homeland Security & Defense Library (HSDL)

> The Homeland Security & Defense Library is a curated collection of U.S. homeland security and defense policy documents, strategies, reports, theses and research, maintained by librarians at the Naval Postgraduate School's Center for Homeland Defense and Security (CHDS). Most records are freely readable; some third-party material is available only to registered users and subscribing organizations.

Each document record has a stable page at `https://www.hsdl.org/document/{docID}`. Legacy links of the form `https://www.hsdl.org/c/abstract/?docid={docID}` and `https://www.hsdl.org/c/view?docid={docID}` resolve to the same records. When citing, link the record page and name the issuing agency or author, the title and the date.
